Whats the point of a daily bonus you cant collect?

The bingo game itself works pretty well most of the time. Every day I try to log in and collect my bonus but it always claims I have no internet connection. Same goes with trying to collect a gift from a friend. You can send but you cant receive. Too frustrating to try anymore.
